Close to Frankfurt, out of the city rush

Hotel Henry stands in Dreieich-Sprendlingen, south of Frankfurt, which turns out to suit a wide range of trips: an airport transfer, a week of meetings in the city, a trade-fair stay, a stop on a long drive through Hesse, or a base for exploring the region at a slower pace. The address is residential, so evenings stay quiet even when the city is busy.

Arrival at the hotel

The last stretch is calm

Most guests arrive either from the A661, roughly five minutes away, or on foot from Dreieich-Sprendlingen station a few hundred metres down the road. Either way the final approach runs through a residential street rather than a ring road, which is a large part of why people choose this side of the city in the first place.

Free private parking on site means you can leave the car for the whole stay and take the train in when the city centre is your destination. It also means you are not circling for a space at eleven at night after a late dinner.

The city, on the days you want it

Frankfurt is close enough to treat as a day out rather than as a base. The Städel Museum and the German Film Museum sit along the Museumsufer, with the Eiserner Steg crossing the river towards the Römerberg, Goethe House and Hauptwache, so a full day on foot is easy to put together without planning it in advance.

If the weather turns, the Senckenberg Natural History Museum and the Palmengarten each hold an afternoon comfortably, and both work well with children who have run out of patience for old town squares.

Coming back out to Dreieich in the evening is the part guests mention most: quiet streets, a parking space waiting, and a short walk to dinner instead of another crowded city block.

Dreieich rewards a slower look

The old centre, the woodland edges and the cycling and hiking routes around Hainer Wald make for good half-days, and the town’s restaurants keep their regulars for a reason. Guests who stay a week usually end up with a favourite bakery and a preferred route through the trees.

The municipal overview of Dreieich attractions lists what is worth seeing, and Burg Hayn and the Dreieich Museum give the clearest introduction to how the town came to be what it is today.
